Barry M - Crystal Glaze

Barry M Crystal Glaze was on my wishlist for some time and I finally got it from a swap, thanks to dear Suzie.

Crystal Glaze is a flakie polish in a shimmer base. Don't let the pink color fool you, it looks like pink but it is clear on your nails and does not change the color of your base polish. (well, at least for dark colors, I haven't tried it on lighter colors)

Anyway, for the base I used a dark grey Flormar creme, 2 coats. And on top it, a generous coat of Crystal Glaze. You expect the formula to be thick and gooey but it isn't. To my surprise, the formula was watery, (not in a bad way) and packed with flakies and manageable.

Oh and I liked the different colored flakies. I was able to see blue, green, purple, yellow, orange and pink...

And I will definitely use it over other colors... Any suggestions?

Barry M - Lady

Texture heat may be over, but I still wear them... Maybe because I have too many texture polishes, I don't know... LOL

Anyway, today I have Barry M Lady on my nails. A polish that deserves the name, such a clean, simple, yet beautiful, lady like polish.

I have two coats on and I did not have any problems applying...

It has a really subtle shimmer in it and I like it as it is. You can wear it alone, or stamp over it like I did...

I used MoYou Pro XL 8 for stamping with black stamping polish of course. And no topcoat... :) This plate has some cute images but aligning them is a pain in the neck!!!! :D

Cinderella Movie & Cinderella Mani

I went to see the Cinderella movie last week with my daughter. Honestly, I was more excited than she was. I happen to like animation movies and Disney movies more, so I've been waiting for this movie for some time...

And please tell me, when you are going to see Cinderella, what do you wear on your nails?

Yep, that's right... Sinful Colors Cinderella... Oldie but goldie...

This polish was a big hit a few years ago, but I still like it. I was afraid that the formula would be thick by now but to my surprise, it was in perfect condition and it applied with no problems at all...

I used two coats. It would be better with 3, but since I was planning on sponging the tips with glitter, I stopped at 2. There was still some VNL, but that did not disturb me at all...

I sponged some holographic silver glitter with  Barry M Silver Glitter. A topcoat... And voila...

Btw, the movie was fantastic... I am totally in love with Cinderella's blue dress.. You should totally see it if you haven't...  <3

My Best French Stamping So Far

It is not a secret that I love stamping. And it is not a secret that I cannot achieve french stamping... :)

Well, I've tried stamping French designs before but never had them lined up, EVER! No matter what I did, they never lined up...

Anyway, for today, I wanted to try a different, festive French Mani... And I wanted to do it with stamping, because, let's face it, my free hand skills are worse than my French stamping skills... :D

I grabbed my Konad m19, simple French designs plate and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red... With the white squishy stamper, I stamped my bare nails with red french tips...

Then I decided to go overboard and try double stamping... Well, double french tip stamping to be exact... :)

This time I reached for my Konad m56 plate. I have bought this plate only for the bow french tip image... And I never got to use it... Well, I tried using it, but it did not satisfy me, because it was always crooked... :)

Anddd here's the result!!! I nailed it!!!!! YAY!!!!

Btw, the stamping is made with Barry M gold and I did put a small rhinestone on the bows... And a coat of Sv...

One proud mama!!!! :) :) :)

Blue is a color for Spring (not)

Can you believe I have never used my Barry M Gellys during summertime? What a shame!!!

Thankfully, I am not a woman of traditions... I mean, I wear my colors as I wish, not according to seasons or stuff... If I want to wear it, I wear it...

That being said, today was a sunny day and I wanted to wear my Barry M Gelly BlueBerry... :) I had 2 coats of it on my nails... Then I wanted to do someting different and I stamped the straight lines from BM411 using OPI My Vampire is Buff. For my ring finger, I wanted to add some glitter and I painted one coat plus some dabbing of Models Own Freak Out, whish was aslo an untried!

Finally, I stamped some roses using Konad m65 with Barry M Gelly BlackBerry. I can say that it stamps reaaaalllly well... :) Oh, and for my thumb, I used big roses from BM323...

Oh and I have news for you... In a few seconds, you are going to meet my thumb... :P

My thumb does want to be involved in the pictures, but it is not bendy enough. So it always misses the photo shoots. I make some funny and creepy hand poses but still cannot achieve to get it in the picture. So, for today's shot, I took a seperate shot of it and then merged the pictures in Photoshop... So, what do you think? Do you think I should add it with photoshop or are you satisfied with 4 fingered swatches?

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 14 - Stamping

Well, I've been using my nail plates since the begining of this challenge, so this particular day of stamping has not been that challenging to me... :)

Wanting to use the design from my new GALS plates, GA15, I panited my nails with Depend Holographic in Denim Blue, a polish I got from swapping with the lovely Marianne...

Then I stamped with Barry M Silver foil and GA15. The quality of Gals plates is amazing. They are perfectly etched and you pick an excellent image every time... This image looks like the one on Konad S6. But this one has thicker lines...

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 12 - Tape Mani

I've seen many talentet blogger friends make awsome nail art with tape, but today, I keep it simple. Not because I can't achieve a tape mani, but because I lack creativity... Yep, sometimes that little fairy just passes me by... :)

Anyway, for today's mani I used Eccence Wanna Say Hello, a gorgeous brown. I loved it so much that it can be the brown I've been looking for for sooooo long... For the accent nail, I used Rimmel Gold save the Queen from the Metal Rush collection. I had hoped this collection was pigmented enough to use for stamping, but to my surprise, it came out pretty sheer. I have 2 coats of it and still you can see some bald spots...

Anyway, I then taped my fingers diagonally and stamped them with Barry M Gold Foil, one of the greatest stamping polishes I own... :) I used the design from Cheeky Summer Set CH44... I used the exact opposite for the accent nail...

And this is my tape mani...
