The Lacquer Legion - Lucky

Hi there!!!

Another month has passed and it is Lacquer Legion time again!

This month the theme is Lucky... I guess everybody will interpret this differently. For me, it is a little different...

First of all, this is my first Dior polish. I try to stay away from high-end polishes. Mostly because I can't afford them... :D I own a few Chanels, 3 to be exact.... And I bought my first Dior after seeing the Spring Collection!

Honestly, I fell for the color first. It is a gorgeous baby blue, perfect for spring... Formula is tricky. First coat was streaky, second coat was better. I could have applied a third coat, but since I was planning on stamping it, I went with two coats.

And then, I used my Winstonia W111 plate and Barry M Silver for the stamping... Topcoat is Poshe...

And here is the result!

I am #LLlucky to own this polish!!!!

Don't forget to check other #LLlucky manis on socail media!

The Lacquer Legion - Adoration

How fast did this month pass! Maybe mostly because I was busy with my dauhter's birthday party preparations...

Anyway, it is that day of month again. The Lacquer Legion...

For February, the theme is Adoration. You can interpret it however you like. This is actually what I like about this group, the sky is the limit, you don't have any harsh rules so the themes are easy to achieve...

Anyway, here is my Adoration mani...

As you can see, I adore skittlettes, textures polish, tape manis and the harmony of turquoise and gold!!!

Here's what I used for this mani..

My turquoise color is Avon Impulsive Sky. It is from their new spring line. The formula is really nice, almost a one coater. But I had tiny streaks on the first coat, so I did a second coat anyway.  The little finger is IsaDora Gold Crush. Ring finger base is IsaDora Gold Sparkles. I did a tape design over that with Avon. Middle is MoYou Artist plate, 04 stapmed with IsaDora. And finally we have a gold stud from Born Pretty Store...

And here's an experiment I'm doing. On my left hand I have round nails and on my right hand I have squoval nails. I'm thinking to keep them like this for some time. The reason is, I'm trying to figure out which nail shape will suit my lifestlye... I mean, which one will be strong, unbreakable, unpeelable, etc.. :) Because in theory, I think round nails are a little stronger...
We'll see... :)

Have a nice day, and don'rt forget to check other peoples entires for #LLadoration...

The Lacquer Legion - Reinvention

I love the nail polish community! They always come with lovely ideas!

This time Chalkboard Nails, Rebecca Likes Nails, The Nailsaurus and Work Play Polish have come up with a monthly challenge group called The Lacquer Legion! Everyone is free to join and this months theme is Reinvention.

It is an open end, reinvention. So I decided to reinvent tone on tone stamping for this challenge... :)

Tone on tone stamping is something that looks really subtle and I realised that I love the look, however I haven't tried much...

So here is my mani... :)

I used two coatf of Zoya Tru as my base.

Then using Color Club Eternal Beauty, I stamped the image on Mo You London Artist Collection 04 plate. The image is the circles from bottom left of the plate. At first sight, I was worried that they wouldn't fit my nails but they did!!! :)

I soooo love this plate!!!

The pictures are taken with flash. Without flash, it looks so subtle, but wtih the flash it is just sparkly... :)
