A England - Crown of Thistles

I am truely in love with A-England polishes. I have said it a million times. The formula and the colors always mesmerize me...

Crown of thistles was no exception. I wore it alone for the first time, but I will surely stamp on it in the near future...

A England - Dancing with Nurayev

Have I ever mentioned how much I love A England polishes?

I looooooove them. Especially the holo ones...

Dancing with Nurayev is no exception. It is a pale blue with holographic shimmer.

And it does miracles under sun...

Please note that all pictures but one are taken under direct sun. And that particular one is taken in shadow. So, you get that one most of the time, but when you go out in the sun, oh uh ah... :D :D

Why did I mention this? Because most of the time you search for holographic polishes and see the crazy rainbows in all of the pictures. But let's face it, without sun or artificial light, these babies may be a tad boring... So I wanted you to see both the glory and the regular state of the polish.... :)

in shadow, no flash, no artificial light

See you next time....

A England - Fated Prince

I must have mentioned a zillion times how much I love A England polishes here in my blog.

Well, today is no different.

I have two coats on my nails of A England Fated Prince, a grey hued holo...

Perfection...

My first indie - A-England Tristam

I cannot believe I haven't been blogging for this long!!!

First of all, I am fine, thanks to God. I just took a break after my 2 month summer holiday where I had no access to "any" polish!!!! I know, scary, right? And after that, my daughter's school began and adjusting to housework again and doing other stuff... Oh, how mant times I've postponed writing a few words...

OK, guilty as charged, but enough is enough...

I'M BACK!!!!

LOL, at least I'll try to blog as much as I can...

And it means I'm starting now...

A Facebook group I'm in has a daily challenge for November about indies. For the first day, the challenge was "your first indie"... Going through my stash, I realized that I don't own that many indies and the ones I have are mostly A-Englands... Can you believe I have bought many polishes from A-England before the Royal pain in the Mail began and haven't used some of them ever since????

Well, Tristam was one of them. And it was the very first one I've bought...

So today, I'm wearing it for the first time in 3 years... Oh my God, what a loss... What a great formula!!!!

Anyway, I'll leave you with the pictures and promise to be back soon...

Thanks for reading...

A-England - Sleeping Palace

SEE!!! THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL A HOLO, PEOPLE!!!!

Sorry for being rude but I just had to rant... :) You know what I'm talking about, if you read my posts... :P

Anyway, A England has been the first indie that I owned when I started blogging. I did not exactly know what an indie was back in that time. :) Now I know it all but unfortunately (or thankfully), I am not that into indie brands. One; because the cost more than regular polish, two; they don't always ship to Turkey, and when they do, it costs more than the polish itself. :)

Anyway, I always welcome A-England's polish, so when Maggie sent it to me, I was totally happy!

I applied two easy coats, could have managed with just one because it is a highly pigmented polish but I did two... :) Did not stamp on it... I wanted to enjoy the pure perfection!!!!

Oh and by the way, the background you see in the pictures are copied from Natalie, from Nailz Craze. I loved the glittery backgrounds and copied her look! Awsome, isn't it???

Mermaid Tail Mani... :)

I've been wanting to make a mermaid tail mani ever since I bought the MASH plates... There's a lovely fish scale pattern on Mash39 plate for those of you who don't know... Many talented blogger friends have made wonderful manis using that plate and I guess now it is my turn... :)

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey... I've been lemming this polish for a long time and now that I have it, I have to admit that the formula is really upsetting. The color is awsome, but the formula is thick, floods over cuticles and may be streaky if not handled carefully.... :(

Well, it is still a gorgeous color for my mani... :)

Over that, I used Sally Hansen Fairy Teal, and sponged it on the tips to make a gradient.

Then I went through my polish stash and found the lovely Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 107, a teal glitter bomb... I sponged a little on the tips...

Finally, I grabbed my precious A-England Saint-George and Mash39 and stamped the scales... :)

I finished it with a good old friend; Sally Hansen Mega Shine...

Funny story here; the first time I was visiting the States, ages ago, I came across Sally Hansen products and immediately fell in love... I grabbed a few and Mega Shine was one of them... For the record, I was only using white polish those days... LOL Anyway, it was such a great product for me, drying my polish in seconds, keeping it super shiny and lasting for a long time... :) I still buy a few bottles from time to time, and today when I saw it laying down in the nail-art box, I had to use it...

Did not upset me... No bleeding... :)

Well, I'm totally in love with this manicure and I dedicate it to all the mermaids out there... LOL :) Keep safe... :)

A-England Lady of the Lake

I really should dive into my untrieds pile more often...

This baby, A-England Lady of the Lake was sitting in my untrieds drawer for almost a year. Don't ask me why, because I have no answer... I just didn't have time to try it on...

What a shame!!!!

Anyway, this is two coats of LOTL with no top coat... All pictures taken under sun... :)

I love the scattered holo effect! I love holos!!!! :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 5 - Purple

Here's day 4 of the 31 Day Challenge!!!! Today we are wearing PURPLE!!!!

Did I make it obvious that I love purple??? Who doesn't love purple anyway... :)

Well, there were times when I thought purple is not very flattering to my skin tone... Well, lilac to be exact. But after wearing shades like these (A-England Avalon), I get rid of the bad thoughts... LOL

Anyway, for today I picked A-England Avalon, a gorgeous polish, color-wise and formula-wise... I stamped with Konad M85 with Essie Nothing Else Metals...

I've seen this combination in Oooh, Shinies blog and wanted to give it a try... I loved how this one turned out... :)

A-England Bridal Veil & Ascalon Gradient

Here's another gradient I did using my favorite A-England polishes, Bridal Veil and Ascalon... :)

Don't they look fabolous together?

Is it me or does sponging kill some of the gorgeousness of the holo?

A-England - Saint George

Please take a moment to sit back and adore this polish!

I think I'm in love with all A-England polishes, but this one is different! I've never worn a polish that matches my skin tone like Saint George. It is a very staurated teal with holographic shimmer, for those who don't know it yet... :) A very rich and dark teal! I have olive skin, so I never would have thought
teal or green colors would suit me, but this one does.

The application is like a dream, just like the rest of the Legends Collection... One coat would surely be enough, because this polish is insanely pigmented!

One thing about A-England polishes! I love them so much that I cannot use them! I'm afraid that they'll finish! So they sit in my polish drawer and I take them out and admire them and put them back again... Do I need psychological treatment? Absolutely!!! :)

I'll leave you alone with the pictures... :)
