Welcome Spring - Week 3

Hi!

I am late to post my Spring mani for week 3, I know... Nowadays I just can't find time to finish my daily chores... I blame spring for this... I feel teribbly tired and I'm having a hard time getting up. More time in bed means less time for manis and blogging... I just wish days were longer... :D

Anyway, for week 3, I decided giving freehand roses another try. Do you follow Paulina's Passions? She does incredibly beautiful freehand rose manicures and I really love them. I tried to make some roses according to her tutorial and I really liked the outcome... :D

I started with 2 coats of Essie First Timer.

Then I stamped some lines using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The stamp is Gals GA21. As you can see, my nails are at their longest these days (thank God). So the Gals images hardly fit on the tips... Well, since I was going to cover them, I did not care... :D

And here comes the challenge!

I grabbed my daughters dear acrylic paints and started making my roses. I used dotting tools. I know they are not perfect, but from a distance, they look like roses... LOL

And here is an awkward hand pose to show my thumb... Honestly, I loved how the thumb turned out.

My Cherry Blossom Mani

Here's some non Christmasy nail art for you today... :)

I've never had good freehand skills, to be honest. This is why I prefer stamping mostly. And I've never used acrylic paints in my life... (although I've seen many talented bloggers work miracles with both of them)

Anyway, today was an experiment...

I've seen every talented blogger make awsome Cherry Blossom Manis in the past and honestly, it seemed like an easy task. So I went for that look...

I started with a green gradient. Well, mint actually... I used Flormar WetLook WL02, Flormar Matte M04 and China Glaze For Audrey...

This is my gradient after semi clean up... One of my best, I should say...

Then came the scary part.... I did not have any acrylic paints of my own, so I went through my daughter's closet for her school supplies... Bang!!! A box of acrylics... :P

I drew the branches with brown paint and the tiniest brush... Then I mixed red and white paint and made a pink. I made the flowers using a small dotting tool. And with another shade of pink, I made some more flowers... :) Annnd, topped them all with SV....

Ta daaa!!! Here's my masterpiece!!!!

Ooops, I had some clean up issues, as you can see.... Anyway, I want to hear from you! Do you think I nailed it? Please be gentle... :) :) :)

Spring Challenge Day 4 : Bugs

Today is the 4th day of Spring Challenge hosted by dear blogger friend Purple Glitters... The theme was bugs... And I chose yellow&green color combination for this theme...

I had no yellow nail polish, so I went and bought this lovely yellow from Pastel. It is Limited Collection #308, with tiny gold glitter in it... Perfect color for spring....

I made the flowers and the lady bug freehand with my Flormar Nail Art polishes and my lovely dotting tool.

For the last day of the challenge, we will be doing a rainbow... Let's see how that one will turn out... :)

And finally, the ladies who participate with me are;

Bugün Ne Sürdüm? - Golden Rose Matte 11

Scroll down for English...

Heyyy!

Yay! I made my first freehand drawing today... Well, it's not much, but it's a start. I should learn to make thinner lines though... :) On my nails, I have Golden Rose Matte Collection #11, which I thought was black, but turned out to be a darkkkk grey... I painted the "fat" lines with a nailbrush and Rimmel Your Majesty, which is my favorite cheap silver for stamping... :) By the way, I couldn't resist putting on a shiny top coat, so the matte color is gone!!! :)
