RETO 2013 - Week 6 - Inspired by a fruit

Today is a sunny day in Istanbul... Spring is coming! And what a lovely day to celebrate with my new holos!!!

I recently ordered some holos from Catherine Arley. These were new colors I guess. Well, at least they are new to me.... So, with today being the 6th week of the RETO Challenge, aka the Fruit Week, I decided to play with my new toys...

I used 2 coats of Catherine Arley 801, a chartreuse gold for my nails and 803, lime green for the index nail. Then I sponged the 803 on the tips of other nails to make a gradient.

BTW, 803 is gorgeous on its own, I should wear it alone soon! And 801 is not my color, but it will be useful for gradients like these...

Anyhoo, I stamped the cutest pear image from the GALS 41 with Konad Special Black and left the accent nail alone... LOL!!!

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 16 - Color Opposites

Finally a mani I'm satisfied with!!!! And I present it with pride!!! MY COLOR OPPOSITES MANI!!!!

Ok, readers who know me can tell that I am retarded in the color area. I don't really know whic color family is cool, or warm or anything else... :) 

So, when I read that day 16 is going to be about color opposites, I studied my lesson. I learned all abour the color chart, how colors are mixed, etc etc... I'm not an expert, but I'm getting better at this...

Anyway, the color opposites I picked for this challenge is purple and yellow... Well, who knew purple and yellow are supposed to look good together, huh? See, that's the rule I've learned!!!! Opposites attract!!!!

First I picked my colors... I used Flormar Pretty P06, a yellow for the base. Then using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Yellow Mellow, Flormar Pretty P20, and Flormar Pretty P21 I made a gradient...  To add some shine, I used 1 coat of Catherine Arley Holo 676, as a holo topcoat... Then I stamped it with Konad M69 and topped it with Poshe... 

Honestly, I couldn't help but stare at my fingers all day...

Another New Years Mani and Catherine Arley Order

First I'd like to tell you that Catherine Arley websotre is open!!!! YAY!!!!

It was such a shame to have such a gorgeous polish brand in Turkey but not be able to find it domesticly...:( So finally, the guys at Catherine Arley decided to open an online store and I took advantage of it immediately... :)

You must have heard about CA holos. I did, too. So I went ordering the whole series (well, except the 2 nudes) to begin with...

They were really resonably priced and the shipment arrived the next day. :)

 And with my new Gals plates being delivered, it was inevitable for me to do this mani!!!

Oh, God, I've seen this design everywhere! It is my favorite design from the Gals sets so far and I've been waiting for this day to come for a month!!!!

Here's Gals 27 with Catherine Arley 800 (2 coats), stamped with Essie Good As Gold and topped with Catherine Arley Glitter topcoat 726... Just perfect!

By the way, Gals plates are really good quality. Look at the stamping... :)
