China Glaze - Pool Party

Hi everyone...

Today I was surprised when the postman delivered me a package. In it, there was a polish, China Glaze Pool Party to be exact, and it was sent by the China Glaze dealer in Turkey. I am their devoted customer and I haven't been shopping for some time, so they wondered if I was alive... LOL

Anyway, I thank them for this lovely gift and since I did not have this blindingly neon orange polish, I decided to use it asap...

First I made a gradient with Pool Party and some Flormar Matte polishes...

Then I used my BM309 plate for the flip flpos, Cheeky CH37 for the sun glasses and a no name plate for the palm trees... I liked the matte finish, so I did not use a topcoat...

And honestly, the pictures don't show the neons properly, but believe me, this Pool Party is awsome!!!

My Cherry Blossom Mani

Here's some non Christmasy nail art for you today... :)

I've never had good freehand skills, to be honest. This is why I prefer stamping mostly. And I've never used acrylic paints in my life... (although I've seen many talented bloggers work miracles with both of them)

Anyway, today was an experiment...

I've seen every talented blogger make awsome Cherry Blossom Manis in the past and honestly, it seemed like an easy task. So I went for that look...

I started with a green gradient. Well, mint actually... I used Flormar WetLook WL02, Flormar Matte M04 and China Glaze For Audrey...

This is my gradient after semi clean up... One of my best, I should say...

Then came the scary part.... I did not have any acrylic paints of my own, so I went through my daughter's closet for her school supplies... Bang!!! A box of acrylics... :P

I drew the branches with brown paint and the tiniest brush... Then I mixed red and white paint and made a pink. I made the flowers using a small dotting tool. And with another shade of pink, I made some more flowers... :) Annnd, topped them all with SV....

Ta daaa!!! Here's my masterpiece!!!!

Ooops, I had some clean up issues, as you can see.... Anyway, I want to hear from you! Do you think I nailed it? Please be gentle... :) :) :)

China Glaze - When Stars Collide

Please refer to the previous post about my opinions on holos... :P

Hi!

Today I'm wearing China Glaze Holographics - When Stars Collide. It is a dark maroon with holographic effect. The effect is not really strong but it is still there...

I stamped the dots from Winstonis W112 with Color Club Cloud Nine... :) Prettty :P

China Glaze - Strap on your Moonboots

Today I have another China Glaze for you. It is Strap on your moonboots from the Holographic collection.

I don't know about you but this holos are not considered as holos in my book. They are not that strong and the application is not that easy... I have so many gorgeous holos in my collection to compare with these... I feel the same for CG all new collections as well. There is not one thing that I go crazy...:(

Anyway, I used a water based base coat for this one and applied two coats of SOYM... Then I stamped it with the butterflies from Pueen 39. I used Konad Silver, which was another fail in my opinion... :P

Purple Glitter!!!

Quick yet classic mani for today!

I used 2 coats of China Glaze LOL from OMG Collection, which I believe is the greatest holo collection of CG. The new ones don't have a strong holo effect. Honestly, there are few polishes I'd like to buy from CG lately...

Anyway, on my ring finger, I used 2 coats of China Glaze Prism... Gorgeous glitter!

Love to see the rainbows on my nails!!!

Mermaid Tail Mani... :)

I've been wanting to make a mermaid tail mani ever since I bought the MASH plates... There's a lovely fish scale pattern on Mash39 plate for those of you who don't know... Many talented blogger friends have made wonderful manis using that plate and I guess now it is my turn... :)

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey... I've been lemming this polish for a long time and now that I have it, I have to admit that the formula is really upsetting. The color is awsome, but the formula is thick, floods over cuticles and may be streaky if not handled carefully.... :(

Well, it is still a gorgeous color for my mani... :)

Over that, I used Sally Hansen Fairy Teal, and sponged it on the tips to make a gradient.

Then I went through my polish stash and found the lovely Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 107, a teal glitter bomb... I sponged a little on the tips...

Finally, I grabbed my precious A-England Saint-George and Mash39 and stamped the scales... :)

I finished it with a good old friend; Sally Hansen Mega Shine...

Funny story here; the first time I was visiting the States, ages ago, I came across Sally Hansen products and immediately fell in love... I grabbed a few and Mega Shine was one of them... For the record, I was only using white polish those days... LOL Anyway, it was such a great product for me, drying my polish in seconds, keeping it super shiny and lasting for a long time... :) I still buy a few bottles from time to time, and today when I saw it laying down in the nail-art box, I had to use it...

Did not upset me... No bleeding... :)

Well, I'm totally in love with this manicure and I dedicate it to all the mermaids out there... LOL :) Keep safe... :)

Nordic Cap of Sweden 20

Today I'm wearing the Nordic Cap polish Malin has sent me. I have never tried this brand before... Here are my impressions...

First of all, the rectangle bottle is cute... It looks like Golden Rose Rich Color bottles. Easy to stock... LOL

The brush is neither too thick nor too thin. Just the right size for my nails. The formula looks runny, but actually it isn't. It doesn't flood the cuticles and it is really easy to handle. Almost opaque in one coat but I used two coats anyway... :)

The drying time is short. You get an totally even look with two coats...

Oh, and the color is to die for! It is a lovely shade of green, almost teal...

You know, I have 3 more polishes from Nordic Cap. I guess I'll love them as well... :)

Anyway, here's the mani of the day...

For the accent nail, I used two coats of China Glaze Angel Wings. It has the perfect holo look... :) For the middle finger, I used the cute bow from Cheeky Ch01 plate and stamped it with Essie Good As Gold. And topped them all with a coat of SV...

And that's my mani a-la-Cristina... :) She did a similar one the other day that I absolutely loved... :)

NYC - Mint Macaroon

Quick post!!!

While visiting my local cosmetic shop, I saw a surprise! NYC polishes are in Turkey! Well, maybe not all the collection but I found a lot of lovely colors... And the pricing is reasonable, so I grabbed a few...

This one is two coats of NYC Mint Macaroon with an accent of China Glaze Angel Wings. I love the combination of mint green and gold. I plan to use this combination more in the future... :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 23 - Inspired by Nature

Whenever I think of nature, wild life comes to my mind... That's why I made this wild mani for my day 23, inspired by nature...

I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps for my base and then sponges it with I'm not Lion. On the accent nail, I used China Glaze Midnight Kiss with Konad M57 and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black out. I added the red spots with a dotting tool and Ruby Pumps...

Looks really wild... :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 22 - Inspired by a fabric

Mom bought me a t-shirt for New Years and I really loved the animal print on it... So today, I'm wearing both the t-shirt and the mani inspired by the t-shirt... :)

This is the fabric I got inspired...

And this is the outcome... :) Another mani I'm proud the show the world... :)

I used China Glaze Liquid Leather for the thumb, index and middle finger...

For the ring finger, I used 2 coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Then I stamped it with Konad Special Black and Konad M57... I added the grey dots using Rimmel Grey Matter...

And for the pinkie, I used 2 coats of Rimmel Grey Matter...

And Poshe, of course...
