Essence - Marble Mania - Water Marble

Since Essence has hit the Turkish market, I buy a couple of polishes everytime I visit the drugstore. I have nearly completed the whole collection, just missing a few... :) So, when I saw this Marble Mania polish line, I knew I had to buy them...

The collection has four polishes that are said to be specific to water marble and gradient nails. And a nail art kit that consists of two sponges for gradient, two orange sticks and a really thin nail art brush... :)

The polishes... From left to right ; 04 Peaches, 01 Raspberry Swirl, 03 Silver Twister, 02 Who is Mr. Brown

Well, the first color was really sheer for me. However I liked the second one. It is more like a coral polish rather than respberry. The third one is an opaque silver, my favorite so far. And the third one? Well, let's just say I'm still searching for my favorite brown... :)

As for the water marble, the polishes did OK. They were easy to handle, did not dry quickly and cleanup was not a mess...

HOWEVER, beacuse I suck at watermarbling, I had bubbles all over as you can see in the pictures.

But they still look fine, don't they?

August 30th Victory Day Mani

Today is Victory Day in Turkey.

Victory Day (local name: Zafer Bayramı) on August 30 is a national holiday in Turkey to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Dumlupınar, the final battle in the Turkish War of Independence in 1922.

So for this special day, I made a Turkish Flag mani. I've seen this mani before at Angelina's Nails, and wanted to try, but I did not have the proper plates... So when I got the Salon Express nail art kit and saw this image, I had no more excuses left... :)

We respectfully commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic.

Saran Wrap Tutorial - Streç Film Manikürü

Saran wrap manis are all you can see on the internet nowadays... :) Many fellow bloggers have made tutorials, which have been really useful for all of us. Here's my version... This will be my first tutorial, so I hope you'll like it. :)

Merhaba!

What you need :

- 2 different colors of nail polish
- Saran wrap ball (I advise you to make this one before putting on your base color)
- Clean up brush
- Acetone
- Top coat

İhtiyacınız olanlar :

- 2 farklı renk oje
- Streç filmden yapılmış bir top (bunu ilk kat ojeyi sürmeden hazırlamanızı tavsiye ederim)
- Temizlemek için fırça
- Aseton
- Parlak cila, en üst kat için

Bourjois - Corail Magique

Another Bourjois... But this time, with tiny gold shimmer. It is a soft peach color. The golden shimmer really makes it different, but not my style of color... :(

L'oreal Resist & Shine Titanium - ?

My mother bought this polish for me from Northern Cyprus. It is the first time I'm wearing L'oreal polish, and I really like the formula. This kind of color really looks nice on nails.

Unfortunately, the name tag was pulled apart, so I have no idea what is this color called. Bıt I believe it is either Deep Geranium or Bois en Rose... The color is a reddish pink. Not as dark as brugundy and not as red as blood... Well, I am not good at describing colors, so you look at the pictures and decide for yourself... :)

Golden Rose 313

Another forgotten polish! But this time I fell in love with the color.

It is a freakishly beautiful crazy pink with tons of shimmer. The formula is jelly-like, but covers perfectly in 2 coats... Total shine and color on your nails....  :)

Golden Rose 336

This Golden Rose 336 was sitting in my polish box since the end of winter. I had bought it together with 335, the Chanel Peridot lookalike and have totally forgot about it.

Well, somethings are better forgotten, because, as you can see, it totally does not match my skin tone. :(
I had put it on anyway and I was in a hurry, so I stamped it with BM306 and Konad Special Polish in Black to save the day...

I must have touched the camera while taking the picture. That's why my index finger has a smudge... :(

Here's another polish I'm not going to use again... :)

Peacock Nails - Gradient Take Three

I've been dying to make this design for ages... When I saw these pictures on The Polished Perfectionist, I loved it so much... And finally I decided to give it a try... :) Mine came out a little different, but I think I did ok... What do you guys think?

I used Flormar Spring Summer 2012 Collection 438 with China Glaze Glittering Garlad for sponging... And I stamped the image from the BM set with Orly Luxe... :)

Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Bluebell

I've never used Kleancolors before, but heard of them in my Facebook polish groups. Thanks to my friend DBMS, I now have nearly all the colors I've been lemming for for a long time...

Bluebell is a clear blue based polish with lots of big holographic particles in it.... It seemed too clear to use it on its own, so I decided to use it over a black base... Which turned out pretty nice, don't you think...

The drying time for this killed me... I really took a longggg time to dry. And by the way, this is the weirdest smelling polish I've ever had... :) Anyway, it looks nice on my nails so I may forgive these... :)))

Bu da sevgili Derya'ya sipariş ettiğim ojelerden... Rengi süper ve görüntü harika. Ama kuruma süresi biraz uzun ve de kokusu sanki uhu'ya benziyor... Yine de o kadar güzel ki.... :)
