Trying Water Marble - Again

Well, I don't give up easily. Here's a proof... I tried water marbling once again.

My two (or three) tries have been big fails. So I was steering clear from water marbled manicures. But a part of me loved them, so I decided giving it a try one more time...

I used Sinful Colors Sweet Nothing and Sugar 'n Spice as my colors. But I did not use a base color. Because I've tried each nail a hundred times so painting a base coat was... meaningless... LOL

Anyway, these are the best nails I got after trying so hard... Not too bad, but still, I have a lot of work to do... :D

Oh, and I used China Glaze Fairy Dust as a top coat...

Dear God, what am I doing wrong????

Cinderella Movie & Cinderella Mani

I went to see the Cinderella movie last week with my daughter. Honestly, I was more excited than she was. I happen to like animation movies and Disney movies more, so I've been waiting for this movie for some time...

And please tell me, when you are going to see Cinderella, what do you wear on your nails?

Yep, that's right... Sinful Colors Cinderella... Oldie but goldie...

This polish was a big hit a few years ago, but I still like it. I was afraid that the formula would be thick by now but to my surprise, it was in perfect condition and it applied with no problems at all...

I used two coats. It would be better with 3, but since I was planning on sponging the tips with glitter, I stopped at 2. There was still some VNL, but that did not disturb me at all...

I sponged some holographic silver glitter with  Barry M Silver Glitter. A topcoat... And voila...

Btw, the movie was fantastic... I am totally in love with Cinderella's blue dress.. You should totally see it if you haven't...  <3

Welcome Spring - Week 2

It is the second week of April already??? Wow, time surely flies by...

Well, for the second week, I got inspired by a lovely manicure I saw on Instagram, a mani by Kirsten. http://instagram.com/kirstenposluns

I used Sinful Colors Unicorn, Sugar Rush, Sweet Tooth and Orange Cream for the bases and added white dots and with a black striper, made the lines... The odd shapes you see in the middle are supposed to be bows... LOL

Not "that" bad, eh? :)

Welcome Spring - Week 1

Hi everyone!

Spring is finally here, well at least in Istanbul... I know some of you had a colllddd winter this year. And you are probably sick of cold and snow. Well, we did not have a single snowflake this year, so I envy you...

Ok, ok, before you start killing me, here's today's mani...

In a Facebook group I'm in, we are making a Spring Challenge. The aim is to post a spring mani each week for April... And here is my contribution for week 1!!!

First of all, let me tell you, I love Disney Movies... All of them... And having watched my huge share of Winnie the Pooh series, (thanks to my daughter), when someone says spring, I immediately think of Spring Time wit Roo movie... The one where Rabbit has Spring Cleaning day instead of Easter... Yep, I know that movie line by line... :) And I can stil hear the Rabbit yelling "Spring Cleaning" :P

So for my mani, I started with 3 coats of Sinful Colors Unicorn, the cutest pastel yellow I've ever owned. However, I cannot say the same for the formula. What is it with the yellows out htere? They are all streaky and tricky to apply. This one was no exception. First coat was a disaster. Second coat had some bald spots and third coat was ok, but I applied it a little thcik, so it took forever to dry.... Grrr...

Anyway, I used QA3 stamping plate with Wet'n'Wild Black and some various colors for making stamping decals.

Happy Spring Cleaning!!!!

NYC - East Village

This was one of the polishes my cousin had brought me from the States. Since I looovvved the first one, Fashion Ave Fushia, I thougt this was going to be the same...

Wrong!

The color is really nice, however, the formula is really sheer. I, personally, prefer one or two coater pigmented polish. Polish that has to applied over 2 coats is a no no for me. Why? Because I hate the time you have to wait between coats. And I hate that if you hurry, eventually your polish will trace because it hasn't dried completely... Know what I mean?

Anyway, East Village is a sheer blue-green nail polish with shimmer. I have 3 coats, but still the color looks pale... :(

Well, to spice things up, I painted my nails with Sinful Colors Green Ocean, a green flakie... It looked like the perfect base for a mermaid mani... IF my MASH plates have arrived on time... :(

Anyway, I wanted to keep it simple so I just stamped my accent nail with Konad M56...

Cute enough to save the day... What do you think?

Sinful Colors - Cindrella

The pictures are old actually. I've had this polish since the begining of Spring, thanks to Kimberly. :) This is my one and only Sinful Colors polish. The name Cindrella suits the color so much. It is a baby blue color with pink shimmer in it. Easy to apply, I have 2 coats on, but I guess 3 would have been better. I don't know, maybe it would be better to layer it one some other baby blue polish... You know, so this one does not finish... :)

Cute, isn't it?
