Golden Rose Holiday 89

It looks like I've neglected local brands lately. The other day I was visiting the mall and I stopped by the Golden Rose kiosk to find new Golden Rose texture shades.

This is Golden Rose Holiday Collection 89, a light grey textured polish. If you follow my blog for some time, you must know that I love textures. But I prefer glittery and sparkly ones. This one scored points for being a texture... And extra points for being grey. Bu I wish it was a little glittery... :D

Anyway, it looked a little dull so I decided to sponge a darker grey on the tips, Milani Shady Grey...

And finally I stamped the image from Cheey European Romance plate.

Final decision, I liked it. :D

Golden Rose 113

Nudes seem t atract me nowadays... Normally, I don't prefer nudes, but I notice myself looking at manis with nude bases, even I'm starting to like the nail trend where you make designs only on clear basecoat, you know what I mean?

Anyway, here's today's mani.

This is Golden Rose 113. I bought it, because it looked like a very light grey on the web page. But it turns out that it is a very light taupe, or mushroom color...  Not to bad for my taste...

I have two coats on. The application was easy. It gets streaky on the first coat but second coat was self leveling.

The image is from Cheeky Jumbo European Romance, by the way...

And there is just  purple one. It's IMPRESSION 11. One nail 07, one nail 11.

I wore Essence colour and go "A lovely Secret" for the base color. It looks very good.

Textured Heaven!!! - Part 5 - Golden Rose

Things have been quite hectic this week in the household! Lots of errands to do and lots of things to be done... So I'm sorry, I've been late with my post... :)

I hope things will settle down next week, so I will be able to return to my blog and paint my nails!!! (finally) :)

Anyway, moving on with the texture trend with Golden Rose Holiday Collection.... The widest texture collection so far... They have 31 yes 31 textured polishes in Holiday Collection!!!! Well, I own only 15 of them... What a shame!!! :)

Formula wise, these are much more opaque and have a relatively shorter drying time... Most of them are full of glitter and there are also neon glitter colors!!!! (I own only one)

Golden Rose Gradient with Flormar Icy Top

Just a quick mani I did this afternoon...

I used Golden Rose Rich Color 47 as my base and then did a gradient with 47 and 26... 

Then I used Flormar Icy Top IT02 on top...

Finished it with Poshe... ;)

Simple and cute... Isn't it???

3 New Collections From Flormar and Holiday Haul

Talk about no buy...

Well, since I've broken my no buy pledge, there was no reason to keep me from diving into Flormar shop yesterday....

Apperantly, Flormar has 3 new collections... One is called Icy Tops... They are jelly based colorful topcoats with bar and round glitters in them. There was a red jelly based, a blue jelly based as far as I remember. Could not take pictures because the sales lady was standing right next to me... Anyway, I only bought one from that collection. It is a clear based topcoat with black and white bar and round and gexagonal glitters... It looks like stick and stones, that's why I bought it....

The other collection was the Sorbet Collection. Blues and greens with micro glassflecks... I wasn't really going to buy any but my daughter insisted on a green and a teal, so we got them... The formula is a little sheer on the first coat but second coat makes it perfect. Easy to work with....

On my pinkie S02 and on my ring finger S04.

Finally a collection I loved, Black Dot... These have round and hexagonal black glitters in grey, pink, mint and blue bases... Loved them and got them all!!!

Two coats on each finger. Little black glitter are problem free but you need to make some placements for the big hexagonal ones. I did not use a top coat but clearly they need it... ;)

Last but not least, I bought two more Golden Rose Holiday Textures... Pink is 76 and lilac is 69... 

And I bought Color Club Art Club nail art polishes in Solid Silver and Black...

I'm still on holiday and I don't have my big camera with me, so you'll have to bear my crappy cellphone pictures. But I promise to make beautiful swatches once I get home...

Mermaid Tail Mani... :)

I've been wanting to make a mermaid tail mani ever since I bought the MASH plates... There's a lovely fish scale pattern on Mash39 plate for those of you who don't know... Many talented blogger friends have made wonderful manis using that plate and I guess now it is my turn... :)

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze For Audrey... I've been lemming this polish for a long time and now that I have it, I have to admit that the formula is really upsetting. The color is awsome, but the formula is thick, floods over cuticles and may be streaky if not handled carefully.... :(

Well, it is still a gorgeous color for my mani... :)

Over that, I used Sally Hansen Fairy Teal, and sponged it on the tips to make a gradient.

Then I went through my polish stash and found the lovely Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 107, a teal glitter bomb... I sponged a little on the tips...

Finally, I grabbed my precious A-England Saint-George and Mash39 and stamped the scales... :)

I finished it with a good old friend; Sally Hansen Mega Shine...

Funny story here; the first time I was visiting the States, ages ago, I came across Sally Hansen products and immediately fell in love... I grabbed a few and Mega Shine was one of them... For the record, I was only using white polish those days... LOL Anyway, it was such a great product for me, drying my polish in seconds, keeping it super shiny and lasting for a long time... :) I still buy a few bottles from time to time, and today when I saw it laying down in the nail-art box, I had to use it...

Did not upset me... No bleeding... :)

Well, I'm totally in love with this manicure and I dedicate it to all the mermaids out there... LOL :) Keep safe... :)

Pink Girly Mani

I've been in search of a good baby pink for some time. A pink that is easy to apply, without streaks... I've tried various brands and I'm happy to announce that I finally found it!!!!

It is Golden Rose Rich Color 46... It is a lovely baby pink creme. Not a thick creme, though... It is easy to apply and it is opaque in 2 coats, streak free!!!!

Yay!!!

And what does a girl do if she has a baby pink polish? She does a girly mani!!!!!

Anyway, I tried to do a skittlette mani a la ChitChat Nails. Her manis are always an inspiration to me!

I used Golden Rose Rich Color 46 for my pinky, middle and index fingers. And I used Golden Rose Rich Color 35, a gorgeous black for the thumb and the ring finger.

I stamped the polka dots from Konad m79 to my pinky.
I added a pink rhinestone to my ring finger.
I stamped the cute bow from Pueen 10 on my middle finger.
I added two coats of Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 104 to my index finger.
And I left my thumb just black!!!!

I loooooovvveeed this girly mani!!!! I should do these kinds of things more often... LOL
