NYC - Mint Macaroon

Quick post!!!

While visiting my local cosmetic shop, I saw a surprise! NYC polishes are in Turkey! Well, maybe not all the collection but I found a lot of lovely colors... And the pricing is reasonable, so I grabbed a few...

This one is two coats of NYC Mint Macaroon with an accent of China Glaze Angel Wings. I love the combination of mint green and gold. I plan to use this combination more in the future... :)

Pastel 11 & NYC Starry Silver Glitter

This is Pastel 11, a shimmery creme. I'm not good at naming colors but a friend told me that this one is an indigo... Well, it's just a blue to me. A pretty one though. It has got really tine blue shimmer that is hard to see in the bottle... :)

Anyway, I had two coats on. The formula is regular Pastel, easy to handle with medium drying time. I wanted to add some glitter so I picked NYC Starry Silver Glitter... I used 2 coats of it which gave the mani an eyecatching glittery shine but I felt sorry for the Pastel, because the glitter hid the beauty of the polish...

I think I'll use it again, but this time stamped. :)

NYC - Big City Dazzle

I had swatches NYC Fashion Ave Fuschia earlier. I was really pleased with the formula, the drying time and the color... So I asked for Big City Dazzle for our swap from lovely Krystan...

Anyway, I put on two coats of NYC Fashion Ave Fuschia over Seche Plus base coat. As I mentioned before, the drying time was really short.

And then I put on a coat of Big City Dazzle. The glitter looked so dense in the bottle, I expected the first coat to be that dense. But first coat was really thin. So I did a second coat... Thank God that the drying time was short. Because the second coat did not meet my expectations, so I went ahead and did a third coat... :)

It looked shiny and pretty, but I think I should try it over another color, again... :)

NYC - East Village

This was one of the polishes my cousin had brought me from the States. Since I looovvved the first one, Fashion Ave Fushia, I thougt this was going to be the same...

Wrong!

The color is really nice, however, the formula is really sheer. I, personally, prefer one or two coater pigmented polish. Polish that has to applied over 2 coats is a no no for me. Why? Because I hate the time you have to wait between coats. And I hate that if you hurry, eventually your polish will trace because it hasn't dried completely... Know what I mean?

Anyway, East Village is a sheer blue-green nail polish with shimmer. I have 3 coats, but still the color looks pale... :(

Well, to spice things up, I painted my nails with Sinful Colors Green Ocean, a green flakie... It looked like the perfect base for a mermaid mani... IF my MASH plates have arrived on time... :(

Anyway, I wanted to keep it simple so I just stamped my accent nail with Konad M56...

Cute enough to save the day... What do you think?

NYC - Fashion Ave Fuschia

This beautiful baby was a gift from my cousin, who was visiting us... This is the first time I'm using NYC polish, and I absolutely love it. She has brought 2 colors and a glitter topcoat for me, and the colors are really nice. The formula is great either. It took a little time to dry and without any smudges...
