Flormar Satin Matte

Flormar did not upset me and came up with a new collection this month... :)

It is called Satin Matte and consists of 15 satin matte polishes.

And guess what!!!!

THEY HAVE NAMES!!!!

YAY!!!

You know, I really like polishes with names. They are easier to remember... But Turkish polishes had number instead of names. So Flormar is the first brand to have names for their polish...

Way to go Flormar... <3

I picked two shades from this collection. Orchid and Havana...

Ok, maybe they are not the most creative names in the polish history but hey, this is a start. I believe they'll come up with creative names... :)

First, Orchid...

It is a purple with a satin finish and hidden sparkles...

And here is Havana...

A brownish gold, which in my opinion is good for leopard manis... :)

These are two coats but the polishes are really pigmented. Drying time is good. Since I used these for swatching purposes, I did not test the wear time. I'll let you know when I do... :)

ORLY Miss Conduct and a Skittlette

Opps, sorry for the long pause. Apperantly, blogger did not get the dates for my pre-scheduled posts... :)

Anyway, for today, I made a skittlette using my new Orly polish... <3

Miss Conduct was on my wish list for a long time. Thanks to Titti, I own it now... :)

First of all, the term skittlette comes from the talented ChitChat Nails. She does incredibly beautiful skittlettes, well maybe because she created the look. So you should check her tutorial for Skittlettes!!!

Anyway, I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, Orly Miss Conduct and IsaDora Diamond Crush for my nails...

And for the fun part, I decided giving stamped decals a second (third, fourth... lol) try... I used the square design from Winstonia Second Generation W201. I stamped it with Barry M Silver foil. Then painted the squares with Miss Conduct. And topped them with Seche...

After they were dry, I peeled the design from the stamper and placed it on my dry nail. And applied another coat of Seche... I cleaned up with a brush dipped in acetone...

So, this method worked better for me... :)

He he, I photoshopped my thumb to this picture... Can you tell? :D

I really loved the final result this time.... <3

The Lacquer Legion - Reinvention

I love the nail polish community! They always come with lovely ideas!

This time Chalkboard Nails, Rebecca Likes Nails, The Nailsaurus and Work Play Polish have come up with a monthly challenge group called The Lacquer Legion! Everyone is free to join and this months theme is Reinvention.

It is an open end, reinvention. So I decided to reinvent tone on tone stamping for this challenge... :)

Tone on tone stamping is something that looks really subtle and I realised that I love the look, however I haven't tried much...

So here is my mani... :)

I used two coatf of Zoya Tru as my base.

Then using Color Club Eternal Beauty, I stamped the image on Mo You London Artist Collection 04 plate. The image is the circles from bottom left of the plate. At first sight, I was worried that they wouldn't fit my nails but they did!!! :)

I soooo love this plate!!!

The pictures are taken with flash. Without flash, it looks so subtle, but wtih the flash it is just sparkly... :)

Nail Mail From Canada

Here's a swap package I've been waiting like forever!!! :)
This is all the way from Canada, from Krystal of the Nailtastic Fun...

She sent it to me on Spetember, but it never arrived... We thought it was lost for good, and she was almost going go send me another one when all of a sudden, it came back to her... :)

We still don't know why it was returned to her, but hey, better returned than lost, huh? And she sent it to me, again! This time it arrived on time!!!

Here's what was inside...

The polishes from left to rgiht are; Layla Pro N 17, Layla Ceramic Effect C292 Mermaid Spell, Layla Mirror Effect Cosmo Lilac, NYX Disco Inferno, Essie Aruba Blue and Essie Turquoise and Caicos... The one in the front is Revlon Chalkboard Nail Art Duo... :)

I was curious about the Layas, so I tried them first.

Here is two coats of Mermaid Spell... It is a lovely purple with shimmer...

I love how it looks on my nails. Application was a pleasure. You can easily wear it alone...

But I wanted to try the Lalya Pro flakie as well... So I have a coat of flakie over Mermaid Spell in the pictures below.

The flakies are in a purple base. And the bottle is huge! It is 17ml! Yay! I searched online but couldn't find a name for it. But I think it may be a dupe of Nufu Oh flakie...

Well, doesn't matter actually, I love it!!!! <3
