Flormar Passionate Dots - Part 3

Hello!!! Today I'll be showing the last one of the Flormar Passionate Dots Collection... The PD05...

Blame me if you like, I saved the best for last... You know how much I like purple, and this purple was no exception...

I used two coats again and it looked like a regular gritty textured purple untill I went outside to take pictures...

Wow, it had showed some shimmer in the bottle but I did not expect this... Still, not as glittery as other brands, but it has a subtle shine of its own...

I know they are not even close, but I just wanted to compare it to Zoya Carter...

Totally a keeper, what do you think???

Flormar Passionate Dots - Part 2

Hi there!!!! I'm back with more photos of Flormar Passionate Dots, aka the textures... :)

Today we have the black, PD06 first. Actually, it was the first one of the bunch I had tried. It has a better formula than the others, not so runny, I mean... But it is a little on the sheer side, one coat is not enough but 2 coats is all it takes for full opacity...

I did not have black texture like this in my collection, so I liked it a lot... :)

And here is PD03, although it may look blue in the pictures, it is a teal... Much to my surprise, it was the most pigmented one among its sisters... :) Totally a one coater. But I used two coats for the texture to appear more...

Tomorrow, I'll be showing you the last one of these beauties, so stay on line... :)

Flormar Passionate Dots - Part 1

OK, so I was getting a little worried about Flormar... It has been over a month and they still haven't released a new collection... LOL

Thank God they proved me wrong and came with my favorite polish line ever... Textures!!!!

They are called Passionate Dots... When I first read about them, I thought they were some kind of glitter. But seeing them at the store, I realised they were textures... There were 6 of them but I bought only 5. I skipped the orange one, 'cause you know, I'm not that fond of orange... :)

Anyway, here are they... Togehter...

From left to right, they are PD02, PD03, PD04, PD05 and PD06...

I MAY have taken a lot of photos during the swatching project, so I'll split this post into 3 parts...

Here are today's beauties....

This is PD04, an electric blue... You are seeing two coats here. It has a runny formula and two coats is needed for full opacity. It dries to a gritty finish, but not totally disturbing, infact it is less gritty than any other textured polish I own. I may say this for all the polishes in this collection.

This collection doesn't have any glitters but you may see a very fine shimmer in the bottle. Those shimmer is invisible in the shade, however when the sun hits, it gives your nails a nice shine...

PD02 is a dark red texture with that micro shimmer... It also has a runny formula, however drying time was not very long. Again I have 2 coats...

Tomorrow I'll be back with the rest of the collection... :)

Zoya Stevie

How on earth did I forget to post these pictures??? I found them in my "to post" file the other day...

This is Zoya Stevie, from the Summer Pixie Dust Collection... You know how I feel about tectures and this was no exception. If only the color was a little more pigmented...

Don't get me wrong, I love lilac, but such a plae color makes my skin look... pale... :(

Oh, anyway, I can always wear Carter if I want a dark purple... LOL

Essence - Red Ahead with Gilty

Sun is back in Istanbul this week and I'm surely enjoying the last rays...

Today I felt like wearing a fall color, altough the sun was at its holo state... Anyway, I picked Red Ahead, the new brugundy creme from Essence...

Don't let the name fool you, this is not a red. In fact, this is a dark, blackened brugundy... More brown in my opinion. Still a pretty color... I had two coats and no problems with application. I really love the brushes of Essence polishes... :)

The camera did not quite catch the color in the pictures below. It looks like black... :(

Anyway, I finally decided to use my Gold Leaf Topper, aka Zoya Gilty... I used one and a half coat (the half being a little dabbing) for my accent nail. I'm going to use it for a full mani one of these days... :)
