Textured Heaven!!! - Part 4 - P2

My love for textured polish continues with P2 today... I hope you are not bored... :)

Honestly, I still haven't used most of them. Like I always say, I have too many polishes but too few fingers... LOL :)

Anyway, today I'll be showing you P2's Sand Style polishes... Thanks to my friend Silke, the new fall ones are on their way and believe me, they are as gorugeous as these...

Again, matte gritty finish, two coaters and not clingy to hair or clothes... Drying time is regular textures...

Let's start with Adorable... It is a pale pink with pink glitters... A lovely color, you can easily stamp on it...

Confidential is a blue, but you may consider it a grey in some light. It comes with gold, purple and blue glitters. Such an original color... I actually don't have anything like this in my collection.

Red with gold and red glitters, this one is Illegal... Not as red as Zoya Chyna, but this one definetly looks like Golden Rose Holiday 56...

Lovesome is a pink with magneta and gold glitters... Almost like Golden Rose Holidy 59...

Seductive is a plum with gold glitters... Not as purple as Zoya Carter...

And finally Strict is a silver  with silver glitter and almost the dupe pf Golden Rose Holiday 54...

As usual, here's the gif picture... :P

The ones I love most from this collection are Confidential and Strict... And this article here shows that Confidential is nearly a dupe for OPI Alcatraz Rocks, so it has become my first choice... :)))

Next post will be about Golden Rose Holiday Collection... So... Be prepared!!!! :)

Textured Heaven!!! - Part 3 - Kiko

Today I'm going to show you my textured Kikos...

They are from the Sugar Mat collection...

Anyway, like all textures, Kikos need two coats for full texture :) and opacity... Drying time is nice... Well, maybe not as fast as regular polish. And since they are supposed to be gritty and matte, you cannot use fast drying topcats with them. But I still think it is worth the wait... I usually paint both my hands one coat and take some time off... I watch some TV or go through my Ipad.. After like 7/8 minutes, I go back and paint the second coat. The do some Ipad surfing again. But this time I try to avoid using my hands for a good 10 minutes... Most of the time, that period is enough... But if you hurry for the second coat, you are going to get scratches for sure...

640 is called Poppy Red is a orange looking red with gold glitter.. :)

642 Hot Pink is a "hot" bright pink with pink glitter :)

644 Sea Blue is a dark blue!!!!

645 Brugundy is a dark red/wine color....

And finally 646 Starry Black is... Well, black with silver glitter... :)

And please let me say that this collection was LE, so you may not be able to find them all... :(

Andddd here's today's gif....

Next is P2 time!!!!

Textured Heaven!!! - Part 2 - OPI

Hi there... Tody we are continuing to sneak through my Textures stash... For day 2, I have OPIs for you..

Honestly, OPI Liquid Sands were the first textures I have ever tried. And the blue and the purple ones made me like textures...

This is Can't Let Go... It is a blurple with lots of glitter... One of my favorites..

And this is Get Your Number... This one has the most shiniest glitter, I'm telling you... Looks like you have jewels on your nails.

Stay the Night is nice, but did not capture my attention like its sisters...

What Wizardry Is This is the first brown/bronze shade I own... Nice but could have used some more glitter...

Honey Ryder... Just WOW!!! I like golden polish but this one is like wearing gold pieces on my nails... Warm gold color, like Solange, doesn't really look nice on my nails. But this one... WOW!!!

Formula wise, I have no problems with these... All of them need 2 coats, relatively slow drying time and gritty matte finish...

Annnd, here's today's gif... :)

Next post will be about Kikos!!!

How to use the Essence French Manicure Brush

Today I saw the Essence French Manicure Brush in the Essence display and being the curious woman, I immediately grabbed it...

Before becoming a nail addict, I mostly did French Manicures. I think it looks really elegant. I still prefer it from time to time, if I'm going to an event where funky nails are frowned upon... LOL

Anyway, I decided giving it a try as soon as I got home... So, without further ado, here's the French Manicure Brush... :)

It looks like a eyeliner brush but with a curve. The bristles are short and firm, but not hard...

Here's a closeup of the brush... It looks it has a small tip. In fact it only covers my pinkie. But I have large nails, you should keep that in mind...

Oh, and I hould apologize for the state of my nails... I just broke my thumb nail again(!!!)

Ok, the brush comes with instructions inside and the most important one is, do not dip the brush in the polish bottle to load it... Well, ok, I used my polish brush to paint my french brush...

See, the brush is loaded with paint now...

I lined the brush with my nail line and with a soft stroke, I painted id towards the nail tip...

One coat was not enough for me, so I repeated it the second time and this time I ended up with a nice tip paint.

Like I said before, the brush covered my pinkie only. But I made multiple strokes with it for the remaining nails.

To clean the brush, you have to wet a cotton round with remover and brush your French Manicure Brush against it...

Here's the finished mani with a coat of milky white on top...

The whole process took 5 mintues, which is a miracle for me, because I never succeed making french with sticky strips... :) Sometimes I use Konad m19, the french plate but again, it takes a few tries to align the stamping... But this brush is easy to use... The above process was my first try... I bet I can do it better in time... :)

And it isn't just for french manicures... You can use it for halfmoon and color blocking manicures as well...

So, what do you think? Is it necessary to have this brush or not? Would you buy it?

Textured Heaven!!! - Part 1 - Zoya

Ok, if you are following me for some time,  you should know that I LOVE textured polish! I own various brands of textures and I decided to swatch them on my precious swatch sticks the other day...

Warning : This post will be full of pictures!!!

Here we go!

Let's start with Zoya Pixie Dusts...

I own 10 from the 18 Pixie Dust released so far!

The formula for these are nice. Some need two coats and some need three. Drying time is longer than regular polish, but hey, every rose has its thorn... :)

They dry to a gritty matte finish, but they have so much glitter in them, so you get to see many sparkles...

Btw, some people insist on wearing topcoats over these, which I really don't get. They are supposed to be gritty and matte people!!! :D

Anyway, out of the 10 I own, I only did not like Vespa and Nyx, because they were sheer, in my opinion... Solange was a little too warm for me, but I like it anyway. The rest, well, I am in love!!! Here they are..

Anddd here's a GIF I made... :) Because making GIF are sooooo enjoyable...

Hold tight, tomorrow I'm showing you the OPIs... :)
