Avon - Fiery Sky

I am an Avon representative. I always buy new Avon polishes to try, because I like Avon's polish and colors... And I like its formula...

Well, most of them... I bought two new colors from the Cosmic line... Fiery Sky and Cosmic Trip...

The thing is, these are jelly based glitters... Or glitter flecks... That are not supposed to be worn alone!!!! :( Too bad they did not state that in the catalogue...

Anyway, I have Fiery Sky today... In the bottle it looks like a rusty red polish.

Here, you see 3 coats of it...

I don't know about you, but I don't want a polish that is still sheer after 3 coats. And you may suggest to layer it over a solid color but I don't think I'll do it, because I simply did not like it... :(

DIY Hand Scrub and a Guest Handmodel...

Today I want to share with you a diy handscrub I've been using...

I feel like my hands need a good scrub from time to time, say weekly... I've seen many yummy hand scrubs on the market... I especially like the ones from Bath and Body Works... They smell gorgeous! However, they are on the pricy side...

So, I decided to make my own... :) Now I'll share my super cheap and xtra secret formula!!!

And, as a special guest, we have a cute hand model with us today, my daughter Selin...

She asked for a mani and volunteered to be my hand model for today. :)

First, we soaked her hands in warm soapy water until her hands looked wrinkly, like 5 minutes... :)

Then I put a spoonful of brown sugar in her palm...

NOTE : Usually, when I'm doing this for myself, I don't wet my hands. Using this mixture with dry hands gives you the ultimate peeling. But using brown sugar with dry hands may be a little harsh for this little hand, so we did the wet version for her...

And a little dab of her favorite hand cream... I usually prefer the greasiest one for myself.

And then we did some serious rubbing!!! Hands, fingers, cuticle area... Do not do this with polish on, the sugar particles may make scratches on your polish!!!

Throughly rubbed, soft, yummy hands... :)

Here are super soft hands, after being washed and dried!!!

And last but not least, some gentle cuticle pushing... I use Mavala's cuticle pusher, the one with the rubber pusher part...

Finally, we put on some nail polish... Of my stash!!!! :)

Essence Nail Art Twins Romeo and Julia...

Cute!!! :)

My model was really happy with this procedure... Let me know if you try it.... :)

Winstonia Nail Plates - 1st Generation

With all the new plates coming out, my bank account is ... Well, just empty!!!!

Eventhough I tell myself that I don't need any more plates, I end up buying more...

Anyway, Winstonia plates were no exception...

They don't ship to Turkey unfortunately, so I contacted my friend Chrisie from USA and being such a great lady, she accepted to send them to me... (Thanks again Chrisie!!!)

The set is called the First Generation plates and there are 20 plates in it. There are 139 designs in total... They come in a box like this...

The plates are covered with blue film to prevent scratching (and I forgot to take its picture)... :) And they each have cardboard backings so you don't accidently cut your fingers... :)

The full designs are 1.6cm long and 1.3cm wide. They are big enough to cover my thumb, so we have no problems there... :) They are the same size as the Cheeky Vibrant set.

They have lots of great images in this set! My favorites are the full nail designs, as always... But I loved the one with the mustache!!! I did not have any plates with mustaches, so... :)

Oh, and the most important thing; they stamp perfectly!!!!! Just like a dream!!!!

Oh, there are so many manis I want to make with these plates...

Anyway, if you want to order, you can visit the Winstonia web site or you can order over Amazon.com...

Essence Floral Grunge - Black To The Roots

Today I'm wearing the third polish I bought from the Floral Grunge Trend Edition, Black to the Roots...

Or in other words, the one that I did not like... :( It says rough on the bottle, so I expected it to be a textured polish... But it is not. It is just a black based polish with silver glitter in it. It dries to a semi-matte finish and the silver glitter is not that visible on the nails... :(

I guess the rough part is the glitter bumps you see on the nails... :(

So, what do you think? Am I being too picky or is there really nothing special about it?

Another Shopping - Haul Post

Wow, I did some serious shopping this week!!!

First of all, Victoria's Secret had 70% off on some products, but unfortunately, this baby was not one of them... But it smelled divine, so I got it anyway... :)

Looks like Essence decided to bring more nail care products... :) The display was not full yet, but here's what I got...

Nail glue with brush!!! That's what I needed!!!!

Oh, and I've been looking for these as well... Bella and Edward...

Carrie and Mr.Big

Julia and Romeo.... :)

Don't they look lovely together???

Here's my first Essence Stamping plate... I'm not that crazy about the images on it, but I bought it anyway, just to try the stamping quality and the size...

Well, honestly the couple and the ink blot looks cute... :) And the paws... :)

The nail art kit... I found the gold one... Looks nice...

And here are the hairy Golden Roses... LOL Kidding, I did not buy them. You know I'm against hairy fingers... :) My daughter bought these but I'll surely give them a try... I must admit, they look lovely in the bottle...

An finally, 2 more of the Jolly Jewels... :) 103 and 121... Shinyyyy!!!! :)

That's all... What do you think?

I'm glad I'll be on holiday for some time... I hope I'll be on a no buy then... :)
