The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 16 - Color Opposites

Finally a mani I'm satisfied with!!!! And I present it with pride!!! MY COLOR OPPOSITES MANI!!!!

Ok, readers who know me can tell that I am retarded in the color area. I don't really know whic color family is cool, or warm or anything else... :)

So, when I read that day 16 is going to be about color opposites, I studied my lesson. I learned all abour the color chart, how colors are mixed, etc etc... I'm not an expert, but I'm getting better at this...

Anyway, the color opposites I picked for this challenge is purple and yellow... Well, who knew purple and yellow are supposed to look good together, huh? See, that's the rule I've learned!!!! Opposites attract!!!!

First I picked my colors... I used Flormar Pretty P06, a yellow for the base. Then using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Yellow Mellow, Flormar Pretty P20, and Flormar Pretty P21 I made a gradient...  To add some shine, I used 1 coat of Catherine Arley Holo 676, as a holo topcoat... Then I stamped it with Konad M69 and topped it with Poshe...

Honestly, I couldn't help but stare at my fingers all day...

Here's the gradient before stamping... :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 15 - Watercolour

EPIC FAIL!!!! WARNING!!!

Ok, I think I lasted nicely for 15 days, but ever good thing has an end. So this is it... Sorry... So long... Goodbye...

Yep, I FAILED!!! BIG TIME!!!

Today's challenge was watercolour, which I've never heard before... Thanks to The Crumpet, she explained nicely that is is a technique made with acetone... I made some further research and this is tihe best I came up with...

I don't think it is supposed to look like this, but please accept this one as my Watercolour...

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 14 - Stamping

Well, I've been using my nail plates since the begining of this challenge, so this particular day of stamping has not been that challenging to me... :)

Wanting to use the design from my new GALS plates, GA15, I panited my nails with Depend Holographic in Denim Blue, a polish I got from swapping with the lovely Marianne...

Then I stamped with Barry M Silver foil and GA15. The quality of Gals plates is amazing. They are perfectly etched and you pick an excellent image every time... This image looks like the one on Konad S6. But this one has thicker lines...

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 13 - Cheer Myself Up

Today is more like a free day for me... Cheer yourself up mani... Hmmm. Normally I would have made a different mani but since I got really pissed at my latest China Glaze haul, this polish from that haul really cheered me up... :)

China Glaze Cirque De Soleil Collection It's a Trap-eze....

It is a white based multi glitter polish that has a nice formula. It dries to a semi-matte finish and you don't have to hunt for glitters, the brush is packed with them...

This is two coats of It's a Trap-eze over one coat of white polish, topped with Poshe.... Loved it... I'm totally cheered up... :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 12 - Tape Mani

I've seen many talentet blogger friends make awsome nail art with tape, but today, I keep it simple. Not because I can't achieve a tape mani, but because I lack creativity... Yep, sometimes that little fairy just passes me by... :)

Anyway, for today's mani I used Eccence Wanna Say Hello, a gorgeous brown. I loved it so much that it can be the brown I've been looking for for sooooo long... For the accent nail, I used Rimmel Gold save the Queen from the Metal Rush collection. I had hoped this collection was pigmented enough to use for stamping, but to my surprise, it came out pretty sheer. I have 2 coats of it and still you can see some bald spots...

Anyway, I then taped my fingers diagonally and stamped them with Barry M Gold Foil, one of the greatest stamping polishes I own... :) I used the design from Cheeky Summer Set CH44... I used the exact opposite for the accent nail...

And this is my tape mani...
