We have made numerous swaps with her and she's been a dear friend since...

You know, it's these small things that keep you happy...

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 3 - Gold

Day 3 of the new 31 Day Challenge is Gold....

As much as I love Gold polish, unfortunately, it is not very flattering to my skintone. But I wear it anyway...

For this manicure, I used Zoya Ziv from the Ornate Collection, which, by the way, was my favorite collection of 2012... :)

I stamped with Konad m79 and added the french tips by hand... :)

Looks elegant to me... :)

The New 31 Day Challenge - Day 2 - Silver

Hello...
Today our theme for the New 31 Day Challenge is "Silver"...

What an opportunity to use my Xmas Haul... :)

Anyway, I used Bourjois 1 Seconde polish in Gris Nightomic for the base. I had bought this polish hoping that it was pigmented enough to stamp. But it has a really sheer formula. I used 2 coats for this mani and a third one was definetly necessary...

But still, the drying time is below 1 minute and the color is nice, a nice grey with silver shimmer in it.

I used BM 206 for stamping the circles on my middle finger and pinkie. My stamping polish was Essence Marble Mania silver...

One Year Blogiversary and Giveaway

Wow, I cannot believe it has been a year since I started blogging.... :)

The truth is, before I decided to open up a nail art blog of my own, I was a commited reader of all the lovely ladies of our community. Seeing their work has inspired me a lot, and I opened my blog on the 28th of January, 2012. 

My first posts were in Turkish, with horrible photos and not so good stamping... The only plates I had owned were some fauxnads... But I kept on trying... I ordered nice stamping polish, good quality plates... And I tried hard... :) If you look my older photos, you may see some improvement...

I joined several Facebook groups, where I met talented ladies that are willing to help to newbies... I started swapping with some, that's when I made some friends, too... And when I realised I had more international ladies following my blog, I decided to write in English... 

It is really relieving to have friends from all over the world sharing your passion... Thanks to them, I got my paws on most of my lemmings...

Anyway, I still have a lot to learn in the nail art area... I don't call myself an expert and most of all, I'm not trying to be "perfect". I may have flaws and sometimes I fail hard... (at nail art) But this doesn't stop me from blogging, because I enjoy what I do, and that's what counts... :)

Well, long story short, I decided to celebrate my Blogiversary with my faithful readers, who have been really supportive throughout the year...

Today is the first day of the New 31 Day Challenge hosted by Crumpet's Nail Tarts...

I just joined this group. I've been eyeing their lovely challenges for quite a time and when I saw this one was coming, I had to join them...

We'll be posting each day in the month of January... Posting everyday will be a real challenge for me but I hope to manage it... :)

Without further ado, let's move on to today's challenge...


Todays mani is Black and White...

So, I used 2 coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather as my base... Then I stamped it with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On and Nailz Craze plate NC02...

It is a rushed manicure for day 1, but excuse me, I had a great time at the New Years party last night, so that's the best I could come up with... LOL :)
