Avon Colortrend Suede - Soft Violet

Here's the last polish from the Avon Colortrend Suede Collection ; Soft Violet...

Having liked the first two, I thought I would feel the same about this one either, but unfortunately, this looks better in the bottle. The color is really dark and really, nothing like "soft violet".

The formula is the same as the others. 2 coats and no top coat.

And this concludes my Avon Suedes swatch... :) Blue Royale is still the favorite one from the collection... :)

Avon Colortrend Suede - Fuchsia

Today I have the second polish from the Avon Colortrend Collection. This one is called Fuchsia and it has the same formula as the Blue Royale...

Again, 2 coats and no topcoat... This takes the second place in my favorites list... :) Pretty, but nıt that special...

Avon Colortrend Suede - Blue Royale

For the next three posts, I will be swatching the new colors from Avon Colortrend. Today I have Blue Royale on my nails.

When I first got the bottle, I didn't see the label and thought it was a blue polish with silver shimmer. The first coat went on smoothly. As the polish dried, it turned matte. That's when I noticed the label said "suede"... Lol...

Anyway, the drying time was super short. I had the second coat immediately. No top coat... It looked like denim to me... Afterwards, when I Googled these polishes, I saw that some people compared them to OPI Suedes. I don't own the OPI Suedes, so I won't be making that comparison, but I liked the Avon one... :)

So far this one is my favorite from the collection... :)

Color Club Halo Hues - Cloud Nine

OH MY GOD!!!

Total blindness!!!

The Color Club Halo Hues are the best holos I've ever seen in my life!!!!

ATTENTION!!! Blinding pictures ahead!!!!

Cloud Nine - Harp on it - Cherubic

I recently had the chance to own 3 polishes from the Color Club Halo Hues Collection, Cloud Nine, Harp on it and Cherubic. When I opened the bottles in daylight, the seemed like really pale colors, nothing special. I even felt sorry to have bought them. I took them and put them on my make-up table. When the light bulb hit them, they transformed into magical blinding holo bottles!!! Really!!!

I immediately tried on Cloud Nine. It is a light pink/lilac colored polish. The pictures below are crazy holo, so you won't be able to see the real color of the polish.

Anyway, I used one coat of Seche Plus as a base coat. And 2 coats of Cloud Nine. I expected the first coat to have some bald spots, but to my surprise, it applied like butter. Almost opaque in the first coat. I did the second coat anyway. The drying time was OK, and I topped it with Poshe. Surprisingly, the top coat did not dull the holo effect...

Here's the thing though, today was a rainy day. Under daylight, I only saw a pale lilac/pink hue on my nails. Nothing special. (No sun, I repeat) But when I held my hand under any light, I couldn't take my eyes off my nails. They were sooooo sparkly.... They had every color of the rainbow!!!!

All pictures taken with flash

Long story short, I stamped it with Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Black Out and used the image from MASH 38.

Now I just hope to buy the other 3...

Golden Rose Rich Color 27 and Orly Halo

It's been a while since I bought the Golden Rose Rich Color series, but I just had the chance to wear one of them... :)

The bottle and the brush is different from the regular Golden Rose polishes. Good different! I loved the rectengular bottle. The brush is a one stroke brush, flat and wide. It was perfect for my wide nail beds, but for people with smaller nailbeds, this may be a problem.

The formula is thick and very pigmented, which makes me think if these could be used as stamping polishes. That's why I bought the black and the golden ones... :)

Anyway, I had two coats of the number 27, the purple one. It looks darker on my nails, just like eggplant purple... :) After seeing this tutorial on Lucy's Stash, I dediced to give it a try.

I used my new Orly Halo from the 2012 Naughty or Nice Collection over the Golden Rose... I should give this a try again, because I LOVED IT!!!!
