Pastel Summer Collection - 97

Well, I guess I should start swatching the Pastel Summer 2012 Collection before Autmn comes, right?

Here we go...

The first shade I'm wearing from the collection is 97. This is a pale blue creme. Oh, and by the way, I had a nasty break on my index finger, so I'm wearing a fake nail... :)

Rimmel - Little Brown Dress

Here's another failed attempd of finding the decent brown polish... Doesn't even look brown to me. Don't let the name fool you, it looks more vampy blood color than brown... Grrrr, so angry... :(

Zoya Carly

Zoya Carly is from the Zoya 2012 Surf Collection. It is a gorgeous purple foil with lots of shimmer... The formula is awsome, and 2 coats is more than enough... :)

What can I say, I'm crazy for purple polish and this one just made my day brighter... :)

Essence Butterflies

First of all, I want you to know that Essence was a brand I had been lemming for some time... Thanks to my wonderful swap with Purple Glitters, I was the lucky owner of the most precious Essence polishes...

And soon after this, a drugstore started to sell Essence products here in Istanbul... I was really happy, adn I spent a small fortune on them... I loved their polishes, but their make-up line was even better... :)

Anyway, for today, I'm really in the summer spirit. So here it comes.... :)

What's with summer and orange? Really, it is like sunshine on your nails... And it looks so nice in pedicures, also... :)

On to the manicure....

I used Essence C'est la vie! for the base color, and sponged WAKE UP! on top. These two really blended nicely... :)

And then, I used Konad Special White and Special Black for stamping the butterflies. And the plates I used are Konad m78 and Cheeky CH3. This is the first time I double stamped and I think I liked it. :)

What do you think?

A-England Bridal Veil & Ascalon Gradient

Here's another gradient I did using my favorite A-England polishes, Bridal Veil and Ascalon... :)

Don't they look fabolous together?

Is it me or does sponging kill some of the gorgeousness of the holo?

NYC - Fashion Ave Fuschia

This beautiful baby was a gift from my cousin, who was visiting us... This is the first time I'm using NYC polish, and I absolutely love it. She has brought 2 colors and a glitter topcoat for me, and the colors are really nice. The formula is great either. It took a little time to dry and without any smudges...

Yay, thank you again, Melissa... :)

Anyway, another emergency polish, let's say... :)

50 Shades of Grey Mani

I've heard about 50 Shades triology from fellow bloggers. I was really curious, so I thought I should give it a try... Wow, that book is a sure pageturner... I loved it! Eventhough I questioned it sometimes, I must admit, it was one hell of a book...

So, this mani is inspired from 50 Shades of Grey... :)

I used Essence Galactic Black, Flormar Supermatte M157, Rimmel Man Overboard and Rimmel Grey Matter respectively... On my thumb, I had China Glaze Liquid Leather, but you cannot see it in the pictures. Because, my thumb is always the first one to peel and break, so it never catches up its friends lenght-wise so I hide the naughty little fella from the universe... That's it. Enough said... :)

By the way, this is my first ombre mani, and I really liked it. I loved how the colors shifted from dark to light. And I'm thinking of making an ombre gradient... Any time soon... :)

Well, after using 2 coats of each color, I didn't stop and went through my stamping plate folder to see if I had any images that represented the novel... :)

I found the champagne Ana and Christian drank on Cheeky CH9...
I found the zipper of Ana's dress on BM202... (Believe me, there were many zippers undone in the book, this is just one of them... )
I had to use the BM311 plate for the Love and the book page image...
And finally I used the little hearts from Cheeky CH9...

By the way, I stamped with Konad Special Nail Polish in Silver, which really frustrated me... :(

Wow, looking at the pictures, I think I shouldn't have stamped... The plain ombre version was much better... This looks like 50 shades of fail... Well, that's the moral of the story, anyway... :)

Laters...

Nail Mail from Denmark

What you see in this picture is a package full of happiness from my beloved blogger friend Marianne, of  Rainbowify Me.

We both waited a long time to prepare our packages but it was totally worth it. Thanks to her, I'm the proud owner of OPI Black Spotted as well as the newest Depend Holographic polishes and my first Gosh polish...

Sure thing, I had no luck tasting the Hello Kitty and Smurf candies, thanks to my little-devil-with-a-cute-smile, but I did keep the choclate to myself... (Evil laugh)

If you want to see what I sent her, click here.. :)

Kleancolor Metallics Nail Mail

Here's my lovely swap package from the lovely Kimberly... :) They are Kleancolor metallics... They really stamp well, if you haven't noticed. And they are the prettiest alternatives to the boring Black and White... :)

Anyway, Kimberly had to send me this package for the second time, because my first package was probably stolen... And she is such a kind lady that she sent me the same polishes and much more again... But since we were busy ripping the package, I forgot to take a picture of the beauties she had sent... So this is all that is left after the candy and other goodies were plundred... :)

Dear Kimberly, I cannot thank you enough. The candy, stickers, little polishes really meant a lot for my doughter and she keeps wandering your name... :)

Gradient Take Two :)

Today I tried gradient again, but with different polishes... I used Flormar 446 and 447, from the new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. These are insanely pigmented polishes. One coat is enough for opacity... :)

What do you think? Needs stamping, right?

Gradient???

Well, everyone seems to be doing gradient nails nowadays, so I had to try it... :) After hours and hours of research on how it's done, I found the greatest tutorial by Nailasaurus and followed her words step by step.... :)

Here's my first gradient nails made with Orly Halley's Comet and Flormar Spring/Summer 2012 Collection 437... (loos blueish in the pictures but it is more greener, trust me...)

Not bad for a first timer huh?
